 My First Day of Driving Class 🚦

Today was finally the day!!!! The beginning of my journey towards getting a driver’s license 🚘 And where did this mini adventure start? Kuala Kubu Bharu. A town surrounded by greenery, chill vibes… and apparently, lots of road signs. 

I went with Nayli, and thank God for that. Without her, I probably would’ve looked lost the whole time. We both arrived at the driving academy a little too early (as nervous girls do), holding our forms, IC, and hearts full of anxiety. The moment we stepped into the classroom, it felt like we were back in school just minus the uniform but plus the pressure of learning about road laws we never really paid attention to before 😭

The 6-hour lecture? Honestly… it tested my attention span big time. There were parts where I really tried to focus like when they explained traffic signs and basic car rules but other times I just stared at the clock and hoped for a time skip 😂 Thank God for the breaks, snacks, and small talks with Nayli that kept me sane.

We even took some cute (and chaotic) pictures to mark the moment. Because let’s be real even though it was “just a class”, it’s still a big step. From never touching a steering wheel to learning what a clutch is (still confused btw), this day means something.

Overall, the experience was tiring, nerve-wracking… but also exciting. It’s the start of something new. One step closer to being on the road — legally! 🚗💨

💭 I feel deeply, and I romanticize everything.

I cry over lyrics that no one else notices. I find meaning in a raindrop, in a memory, in a stranger’s smile. I can turn a handbag wishlist into poetry, or a trip to Setia City Mall into a page of nostalgia. Like IU, I live in between soft melodies and unspoken thoughts. My emotions don’t always scream but they whisper, and sometimes that’s louder.

👜 I notice the little things.

A pastel handbag, a soft breeze, a sunset through the window. I love beauty.Not the loud kind, but the subtle, quiet elegance that speaks to the heart. I don’t need to shine under spotlights. I just want to feel alive in the quiet moments which is journaling after Fajr, holding my favourite book, rewatching my comfort drama with my favourite blanket.

🎶 If my heart had a soundtrack, it’d be an IU song.

Maybe Through the Night, when I think of the people I miss. Maybe Love Poem, when I try to comfort myself through words. Or Palette, when I realize that I’m still figuring myself out and that’s okay. IU’s songs sound like my tthoughts like honest, soft, a little sad, but always full of soul.

Looking back at my journey from semester one to five, I still find it hard to believe how far I’ve come. I used to be that quiet, introverted student who walked alone after class, sat silently in lecture halls, and often felt invisible in a crowd. It wasn’t easy in the beginning trying to adapt, open up, and find where I truly belonged. I kept most things to myself, thinking maybe I wasn’t meant to fit in. But slowly, things began to change. One conversation led to another, and bit by bit, I found myself sitting with a group of classmates, laughing over shared jokes and late-night assignments. The same girl who once felt out of place was now surrounded by people who felt like home. It may seem small to others, but for me, it’s a personal victory I’ll always carry close to heart.
