KL City Run 13/7 –
We Walked… I Mean, We Ran for It! 🏃♀️🚶♀️💨
On 13th July, I did something out of my usual comfy weekend routine. I woke up at 5AM (yes, willingly) and joined the KL City Run with Aleeya, under Unisel Run Club. Did I run 8KM? Technically yes. But realistically? Let’s just say… we did more sightseeing than sprinting. HAHAHA.
But you know what? I don’t regret a single step. Even if most of the time we were walking (and laughing at our own stamina), we still clocked in more than 8KM.. which, if you ask me, is a major win.
The route was beautiful. We walked through the heart of KL. The streets we usually rush past without thinking. This time, we actually noticed the city waking up, the skyline glowing under the morning sun, and the quiet in places that are usually buzzing with cars and people. It felt like… peace. Urban peace.
And honestly, that early morning energy hit differently. Waking up before sunrise, lacing up our shoes, and being surrounded by other people with the same goal , to be active, to feel alive and it reminded me that productivity isn’t just about to-do lists or deadlines. Sometimes it’s just about showing up for your body. For yourself.
Even if you’re just walking 8KM around KL while pretending you’re in a Nike ad 😎.
