Places I Dream of Visiting Someday
By 1ovingqys
Here’s a little piece of my heart and the places it longs to go.
π° Edinburgh, Scotland
I’ve always been fascinated by old cities that hold stories in every corner — and Edinburgh feels exactly like that. The cobblestone streets, the centuries-old castles, the grey skies that make everything look like a scene from a historical drama. I imagine myself walking through the Royal Mile, sipping hot chocolate, lost in the sound of bagpipes echoing through the cold air. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to write poetry and fall in love with the past.
π️ Seoul, South Korea
Seoul is more than just a city to me, it’s a dream born out of K-dramas, music, and culture that gave me comfort during my hard times. I want to walk along Han River at sunset, visit the places I've seen on screen, and breathe in the energy of a city that never sleeps. I imagine strolling through Hongdae, eating tteokbokki from a street stall, and silently thanking the younger me who always found peace in this culture.
π΄ Bali, Indonesia
Bali feels like peace. I imagine early mornings with ocean breeze in my hair, the sound of waves and adzan echoing in the distance. A beautiful blend of nature and culture, serenity and adventure. I want to sit by the beach during golden hour, journal my thoughts, and feel the stillness I don’t always get in everyday life. It’s a place where I hope to rest and reflect to reconnect with myself and with God.
π️ Bangkok, Thailand
There’s something about Bangkok that feels thrilling. It’s fast, full of energy, yet warm in a way that feels familiar. I want to get lost in Chatuchak Market, try all the street food I can name, and discover the stories behind every local smile. Maybe I’ll hop on a tuk-tuk and let the city take me anywhere. Bangkok feels like a place that surprises you and I’m ready for the surprise.
π Makkah, Saudi Arabia
This is more than a destination because it’s a place my soul longs for. Makkah is where I want to cry my heart out in sujood, where I want to ask Allah all the things I’ve kept inside for years. It’s where I hope to find peace, clarity, and a new version of myself. More than anything, I want to feel the calm of being in His house, surrounded by people from all over the world. It’s the most sacred wish on this list, and the most beautiful one.
