This is not just any place it’s the faculty I once only dreamed of, the first choice I wrote down with trembling hands, the first love that lived quietly in my heart for years. I never thought I would actually be here, walking through its hallways, breathing in the atmosphere I once imagined from afar.

Growing up as a young woman, I was often reminded to choose wisely, to pick a course of study that would secure a stable future, a “proper job,” something safe and certain. And for a while, those voices almost convinced me. I almost walked away from this dream, thinking maybe practicality mattered more than passion.
