Lately, I’ve been really obsessed with the idea of living the “Pinterest girl” lifestyle. It’s that dreamy, soft life aesthetic where everything looks calm, pretty, and effortlessly romantic. You know like waking up slowly with sunlight pouring into the room, making a warm cup of matcha, journaling with a scented candle lit nearby, wearing oversized pastel knits, and just taking life at your own pace. It sounds so peaceful. Living in Shah Alam might not be some Pinterest-perfect European city, but who says I can’t create little dreamy moments in my own space? I think the whole point of this lifestyle isn’t just about the aesthetic, but about how it makes you feel.
I imagine myself waking up to a slow morning like no alarm, just the sound of birds or soft music. I’d fix my bed nicely, open the curtains, and let the morning light in. Then maybe I’d play some Lofi BTS tracks in the background while I write in my journal or plan my day. On good days, I’d dress up in a flowy skirt or a soft cardigan and head to a nearby café, bring a book I probably won’t finish, and just sit there, people watching or pretending to look productive. Honestly, the smallest things like doing skincare or walking alone in a quiet park feel so much more special when you start romanticizing your life.
And maybe that’s the beauty of it and you don’t have to travel to Paris or Seoul to live beautifully. Maybe it’s enough to feel at peace where you are, to do things for yourself, to enjoy your own company, and to create a little bit of magic in your everyday routine. I’m not fully there yet, but slowly… I’m manifesting it. My own version of the Pinterest girl dream life such as soft, quiet, content, and fully mine.
